Many people have been led to believe that when you are single, you are lonely and unhappy. But that is not true. In fact, many of those women who are still single are actually in the happiest state in their lives. Being in a relationship does not necessarily guarantee bliss and happiness. In the same way, being single also does not translate to misery.

If you are currently single, here are the habits you can employ to keep you happy, satisfied and positive every day.

1. Start your day right

To have a great day ahead, it is better to hit the bed early and get up early. Instead of snoozing your alarm, immediately begin your day and start it with anything you enjoy in the morning, like having a good cup of coffee or doing some stretching exercises. It will make you feel good and give you positive mood which you can carry all throughout your day.

2. Look beyond the imperfections

Life is not perfect and it never will be. However, your happiness will largely depend on your ability to see life through imperfections and flaws. It’s all a matter of being able to look at the brighter side of things despite the circumstances. But it does not mean that you don’t have the right to feel bad anymore. However, when something bad happens, just remember that everything will still eventually be okay and there are always positive reasons why some things happen. You may not see it now, but someday you surely will.

3. Look your best for yourself

When you feel like dressing up, don’t do it for anyone else but yourself. Instead of trying to impress others, like some guy at work, work on impressing yourself first. This habit will boost your confidence and it will make you love yourself more. And if you love yourself more, the more you will be happier.

4. Make time for your friends and family

One of the things that make single women lonely is the feeling that they are alone. However, you don’t have to feel the same way. You can combat this feeling by spending time with your friends and family. Of course, you will also have some alone time, but these are the times that you must enjoy. Even people in relationships need space and alone time. You also need the same. But for some days, it will great to have some fun with your friends too. This is, in fact, the best time for you to enjoy and live your life to fullest, so do it while you still can.

5. Cultivate your hobbies and your passion

Being single does not mean that your whole life will just have to revolve around getting up in the morning, going to work, going back home and working again the next day. We all are good in at least one thing. There must be something you are good at, something you are passionate about. Make time for these things. You will feel more complete, fulfilled and accomplished.

6. Be physically fit

Exercise can do you a lot of wonders. It does not only make you healthy and fit physically, it can also give you an emotional and mental boost. If you consistently strategies to sweat out and get your body moving, you will notice that you get to have a lighter and more positive mood.

7. Be grateful for everything

An attitude of gratitude can do amazing things in making you happy. Happy people never fail to be thankful and appreciate each and every single day they get to enjoy. They know how to count every blessing they receive, every good thing that happens to them. When you also get to develop this habit, you will realize that there are indeed so many things in life you need to be thankful for, and that’s enough to smile and be happy.

8. Take a break

Everybody needs to take a break. If you are too swamped up with work or maybe experience a lot of issues at home, be fair to yourself and take a breather. Do things according to your own pace, and don’t be too harsh on yourself.
